TJFACT CARES

TJFACT Cares is a branch of our company created to extend helping hands and to fund a true commitment to give back to the people and the communities which surround our headquarters.

TJFACT Cares and our employees who volunteer their time have helped hundreds of families and children in the Atlanta area to find abundance in time of need, experience joy at the holidays and to have a real chance at improving their lives.

SOME OF OUR PROGRAMS WORKING TO CHANGE LIVES FOR THE BETTER

TJFACT connects with local high schools with the awarding of the Terrence L. Evans Achievers Scholarship. Named after TJFACT’s CEO and President, this scholarship is awarded to deserving students who have demonstrated achievement in their studies despite their circumstances and who seek to advance their education at the collegiate level. Awarded students are free to apply these scholarships towards tuition, books, or any other expenses associated with their transition to the college environment.

“We are proud to reach out to our local neighbors and their families in need” said Terrence Evans, CEO and President of TJFACT. “It’s important to recognize and touch the community surrounding our professional workplace.”

“BE THE DASH” Helping Teenagers

“BE THE DASH” Nonprofit

“BE THE DASH” is not only TJFACT’s resounding motto, but also the name of our non-profit which strives to connect with our community through service and charity. “Be The Dash” hopes to help build our communities, impact positive change in young boys’ lives, and inspire our future leaders and work force by teaching young inner city boys’ financial literacy and other life lessons through the game of golf.

Young Achievers Scholarship

The “Be The Dash” Young Achievers Scholarship is our commitment to support deserving underprivileged graduating seniors who have demonstrated academic success, and who have been accepted to an accredited college or university. Annually, “Be The Dash” presents a monetary gift of $1000 to each scholarship awardee to advance their academic success. We have disbursed over $50,000 in scholarships to date, and we look forward to continuing this momentum.

TJFACT Be-The-Dash & LIM Scholarship Ceremony

TJFACT is a proud partner with Free Minds Book Club & Writing Workshop. This organization has a mission to use books, creative writing, and peer support to awaken incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youths and adults to their own potential.

Through creative expression, job readiness training, and violence prevention outreach, these young poets achieve their education and career goals, and become powerful advocates for change in the community. TJFACT’s partnership helps to rehabilitate and mentor these youth to transform them into the leaders of tomorrow.

The need is great across the metro Atlanta area, and many times we don’t see to needs right at our back door. TJFACT partners with local charities annually in our Food, Fellowship, and Family for the Holidays Initiative where we adopt multiple families in need and provide them with food assistance during the holiday season.

Our team hand delivers the food items to these families and spends a little time with them to show them how much we care.

Here are a few of the local Atlanta organizations we support.

Big Bethel A.M.E Church “Saturday School”.

Providing 171 years of service to the community, the Church is the oldest African-American congregation in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. The Saturday School provides tutoring and learning activities for students enrolled.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is a not for profit children’s healthcare system, located in the Atlanta area. Our Outreach extended to Hughes Spaulding located on Jessie Hill Drive in downtown Atlanta and Egleston Children’s Hospital on the Emory Campus. We deliver bears in TJFACT shirts to children receiving cancer treatment.

The Military Outreach Center of Georgia State University

The Military Outreach Center of Georgia State University provides the support and services Veterans, service members and their families need as they pursue their academic goals. TJFACT was honored to extend outreach to our Veteran neighbor at GSU.

Here are some of our highlights!

TJFACT’s Core Value

Give Back to the Community was employed merrily over the Holidays in 2019. We delivered turkey dinners right before Thanksgiving, and hosted families over the Holiday season to hand out presents to children who would otherwise not have seen any. We had our own visit from Santa, and the kids had a great time!

On December 20, 2020, we held our TJFACT Day of Service – Christmas for Families in Need. Even with the pandemic in full swing, we were able to safely host families and follow protocols to have a fabulous time. We assisted five families from the Atlanta area with ensuring the children had something to celebrate over the Holidays.
